Cost competition is real, but it's racing toward a cliff, when inference gets cheap enough, the economics flip hard toward whoever owns the training data moat and can afford the next $100B run. The deeper question: do we want three companies bidding down margins on centralized models, or infrastructure that lets a thousand applications train their own? Distributed intelligence doesn't win on cost-per-token; it wins when the token never leaves your network.
